Mission / Methodology

We teach riders using an optimal path strategy while maintaining an atmosphere of fun. Both are critical to learning and retention. No more riding around and around the arena wondering why you are not learning. No more repeating a mistake over and over until the mistake becomes muscle memory. What are biodynamics/functional training and why are they critical to riding?

Biodynamics  is the study of the effects of dynamic processes, such as motion or acceleration, on living organisms.   In our case, the movement of the human body when combined with the movement of the horses body. In other words the Lines, and angles of muscles and joints in motion and how to effectively use them for balance and communication.

Functional Training simply put, are exercises preparing the body and mind for a very specific role (in our case riding a horse).   By drawing from a large collection of *FUN* activities (Functional exercises)  , we target the very specific muscle groups, reflexes, and mental thought processes  involved in riding. The best part is kids and adults have fun, but their riding rapidly improves .  They feel more in control, more relaxed.
